Nursery Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of a nursery based in Accrington that is looking to recruit a Nursery Manager to start with them as soon as possible.

Job Details:

  • Start: ASAP
  • Location: Accrington
  • Hours: Monday to Friday – 7/8 hour shift between 7.30-18.00

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3 years of management experience
  • 3 years of childcare experience
  • Minimum of a level 3 Early Years qualification

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To come to work every day with a smile on your face

  • To provide nurturing care for all children
  • To provide a high level of service to everyone
  • To support families and try to exceed their expectations every day
  • To create learning opportunities for children when they have so much fun they don’t realise you had it all planned
  • To do full checks that every room is in ratio, there are amazing activities being carried out, that all of the team meet company standards and full security perimeter check
  • To give every child the tools to become independent in their learning
  • Practice mindfulness every day to create a calm environment for children to thrive
  • To look after every child’s needs both physically and emotionally
  • To provide a stimulating and caring environment for all children in your care
  • To provide for the physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social development of children
  • To look after the day-to-day hygiene requirements and general welfare of children in your care and be aware of those others in the nursery
  • To provide an appropriate environment for children in your care to develop as individuals as well as within a group environment
  • To prepare and deliver activities appropriate to the age group in your care, taking account of their individual abilities and needs
  • To provide a continuous and appropriate level of supervision for children in accordance with nursery practices
  • To provide advice and information to the nursery manager and parents on any aspect of their child’s progress and development, in accordance with current statutory and nursery procedures
  • To ensure your work and personal areas are always maintained to an appropriate level of hygiene, tidiness and cleanliness in accordance with nursery practice
  • To assist at break time and meals as required
  • To have a flexible approach to hours worked within the normal hours of work
  • To maintain complete confidentiality on matters appertaining to the business of the nursery, its children, parents and colleagues
  • To show parents around your area of work and provide information as appropriate
  • To work with children of all ages as directed
  • Notify the nursery manager if you become aware of any irregularities or breaches of nursery practices
  • To show respect for colleagues, children, parents and visitors within the nursery
  • To provide support for staff implementing EYFS
  • Personal Tours of the nursery for any enquiries or visitors
