Long-Term Supply Teaching Role!!
Step by Step is currently looking for an enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to work in a school near Kirkby Lonsdale on a long-term basis. This school are looking for a part-time and/or full-time DT teacher.

The suitable candidates must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
Required skills are:

Driven and enthusiastic, creating an exciting and fun learning environment

Passionate and has outstanding classroom management

Able to work as part of a strong, dedicated team

Knowledgeable of the current national curriculum especially in terms of assessment

Able to form relationships with parents and children alike
-
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 Design and Technology (D&T).

Experience of teaching GCSE D&T 2017 specs onwards (we use AQA specification).

Knowledge of safe manufacturing processes of woods and polymers, hand skills and machine (hegner, pillar drill, sander etc). Good workshop safety standards.

Experience of using Tec soft 2D design software.

Competent in taking projects through the design process from brief to research, design and development, manufacture and evaluation.

We also have various day-to-day roles and opportunities available for experienced Secondary Teachers as well as Secondary NQTs/ECTs and Cover Supervisors. The right candidates will have the option to be flexible in what role they undertake, from providing general cover to a specialist subject.
