Deputy Nursery Manager (Permanent)

We are currently working with a nursery based in Longridge looking to appoint a permanent Deputy Nursery Manager.
Job details:
- Ideal start date: Monday 30th June 2022
- Rate of pay: from £13.00 per hour
- Days/hours: 4 full days a week (negotiable)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Nursery Practitioners, Apprentice Nursery Practitioners, Volunteers, Student Placements and work experience students
- Manage the nursery and undertake all the necessary duties in the absence of the Nursery Manager
- To oversee the planning, delivery and monitoring of the nursery’s EYFS curriculum in accordance with the children’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs.
- To provide a high level of care that will enhance the children’s general health and well-being.
- To lead and be responsible for the running of a room to be assigned by the manager
- To act as a key person to a small group of children and to ensure their needs are reflected in the planning of routines and activities.
- To liaise regularly with parents/carers about their children’s needs, interests and progress.
- To attend any conferences, training events or meetings as identified by the Nursery Manager and to keep up to date with current good practice.
